hope this finds laffter
sam and jessies 50th wedding anniversary was
coming up soon and sam always wanted to go
out west. he longed for a pair of real cowboy
boots and he was going after them. they
flew out to denver and hooked up in a hotel
downtown. jessie was tired and told sam
she was going to lay down. sam took it upon
himself to go shop for boots. he left the hotel
wandered down the 16th st mall and found
a nice boot store. took him about 30 min
but he came out of that store with a big
smile and a brand new pair of cowboy boots.
he had that extra bounce in his step as he
made his way back to the hotel. he got up
to his room and found jessie sitting up with
the tv on. sam asks "notice anything?"
jessie looks at sam "no"
sam says "look again do you notice anything
different"
jessie looks again "nope"
now sam gets upset, goes into the bathroom
takes everything off but his boots. goes
back out to the room and says to jessie
"do you notice anything different now?"
jessie looks and says "nope, was hanging
down yesterday, looks like its hanging
down today, and it will be hanging down
again tomorrow"
sam is pissed " the reason it is hanging
down is because it is pointing at my
new cowboy boots"
jessie says
"shoulda bought a hat sam, shoulda
bought a hat."
