Hi. I'm new to the board, but have been a clusterhead for quite awhile now. Great quiz - just confirms my diagnosis. I'm currently in cycle and getting hit a few times through the day. I'm using oxygen as an abortive, along with imitrex spray. I prefer not to use the preventatives because I (from past experience) believe they prolong my cycles.
I've recently been transferred to a pretty remote area of Northern Canada, but it's nice here. I checked out the Canadian website - looks like some nice folks over there as well.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and to thank DJ for a great website. Nice to know I'm not alone with this shit!

Margi has a great site over there, just don't piss her off!  Welcome aboard. I have found that my abortive regimin actually shortened my cycle. It is posted on the Canadian board. Happy birthday.

Welcome, ABC - hope you can make your way over to our site again. You're right, we do have a good group over there.
Sounds like you've got a good attack plan for your pain, though - hope it works for you.
I see that you really ARE in the north. Does the shortened daylight this time of year affect you up there? I was actually born just south of Alaska and I remember my mum putting foil wrap on my bedroom windows at night, just so I could sleep.

Thank you for the welcome and birthday wishes, finally a place to belong and be understood.
Sean, I live far up in the Northern part and I must say the Northern Lights are truly remarkable, colours are all around, the noise is like crackling fireplaces,remarkable.You get used to the shortened day although it seems like its night all the time here. I am still learning the site but found a general link,hope it goes here about BC has some info on Northen Lights,we are kinda close to there
