My Mom and Dad both haveone now. (both in the last three years)  Fabulous outcomes!  They are both normal and do all the things they used to (w/o their heart slowing down to almost stop)

It will be great!

Pacemakers are pretty cool nowadays.

My moms has an internet connection as well as a phone compatability deal. (really)

She can have the docs read her heart, history, trending etc.. from anywhere in the world.
Only thing hers is missing is GPS so her kids cant find her when she decides to travel the world.

Cant even tell she has one. Can be recharged externally.

Pace makers are pieces of cake these days, minor procedure. Avoid strong magnetic field machines such as MRI once its in situ though.

Praying for you brother but I know you will be just fine !

Don't know anyone that's had them, but I've taken care of patients with them (when in nursing school, which is the last time I worked with adults), and they were doing much much better once they had it implanted!!  I'll be praying for you!!
