When your headaches return after an absense...... do you:
1. Rejoice that you had time off from them
2. Kick yourself for weening off of the lithium
3. Curse and scream
4. Remind yourself that others here haven't had a break and stop acting like a baby and suck it up.
Just wondering. For lithium users... do you just stay on it all the time or do yu ween when the cycle breaks? I was so sick of meds that when the cycle broke, I weened myself off and now I know it was the wrong thing to do...... but do chronics stay on the lithium all the time?
Anyway, Happy New Year all..... the headaches are back but not all that bad so far. usually my first headache is a stronger one than this one. For that I am grateful.
And yes, I have restarted the lithium..... I'm a moron, not an idiotic moron.

After 31 years I had a 14 month PF break....was fuckin heaven 
I took Lith everyday for over 14 years cause I never saw any stretch of PF time......but boy when I did I weened off it and life was good.
The beast is back now but I have only been taking Verap and that is doing the job just fine (My liver thanks me for not taking the Lith this time.....LOL )

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Went 15 months without a break and it's back only a short time later.
All in all, I'm doing OK. I hate the begining of a cycle and I was feeling stupid for weening off the lithium but otherwise I am fine.
HOWEVER, I have the O2 and meds and I got lithium to go back on and I am confident that I got the right cocktail to fight it this time.
Just thankful for everyone here. I got the right meds because of you all and I got right attitude too.

As far as meds go, I only really noticed improvement in my overall well being and Cluster when I detoxed.
Lithium was the last med that I used and that was 9 months ago.
Not PF but living larger than before.
