THAT WAS AWESOME.  HAD ABOUT 6 BEERS WATCHNG THE HOCKEY GAME AND NO PROBLEM. i SHADOW EVERYDAY WITH THE SEEDS BUT NOTHING ELSE.   HAD TO TEST MYSELF BECAUSE FRIDAY I WILL BE AL BUNDY LIVING THE GLORY DAYS.  MY HIGHSCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM GETS INDUCTED TO THE SCHOOL'S HALL OF FAME ON FRIDAY AND I WANTED TO MAKE SURE I COULD HANDLE A FEW DRINKS.

STARTED WITH A 1 LITER BOTTLE OF OF O'HARA'S 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BEER.  POURED OUT OF THE BOTTLE LIKE SYRUP. HAD TO TRANSITION TO SOME COOR'S LIGHT.  WHO CARES. 6 BEERS WITHOUT A HEADACHE, 25 DAYS WITHOUT A H/A EXCEPT SHADOWS. LETS KEEP THIS SHIT GOING

My wife is drinking my beer.  I bought a case the day before this round started.  Yesterday, we were outside and she said: "go get me a beer", then started laughing!  The winch.....

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I'm not much of a drinker ( except for those college days and for a couple of years after)  -  But when temps hit the 80"s we go out on our pontoon and theres nothing like hanging out , swimming in the lake and having a beer !

Good for you-  I'm not brave enough to try but maybe in a couple of weeks when we take our maiden voyage of the year - i may remember your courage !!

The infernal question.   Wink

Personally, I won't even try it until I've gone seven days without a hit or a shadow, but that's just me.  Others wait longer.  Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't, but it's been a pretty good rule of thumb for me.

Presumably by now, it's moot--you've either done it or chickened out.

Best wishes either way,

George

Well, I screwed the pooch.....slept all last night, nothing today, so I had 4, then went for a ride on Rosie, my harley, with my wife.  Wasn't gone 5 minutes til a K4 hit.  Fortunately, the temp was in the 60's, so we wore our jackets, but my face was dead in the wind, wind chill factor probably 45.  I was deep breathin' and loving the ride, so I made it home with a 4 and immediately hit the O2 and expresso.   Damn.  It was fun for an hour, though.   Angry

Mattus, you're right about the bike.  I think one reason I was so depressed this time was cause my scooter was down with a leaking tank.  Got it fixed, am back in the wind, and my attitude has improved.  BTW, if you're heading north, and I'm heading south, both of us headed toward the equator, are we going the same way?

I'm in week 6 of my clusters.  I've had 1 or 2 a day usually, with an occasional day off (boy do I love those!!).  Last Saturday I was tempted with some good Irish beer (Smithwicks) and had one.  Then had two glasses of wine.  And by the end of the evening had a Bushmill (wiskey) and Ginger Ale.  I knew I was tempting the Beast, but I had been through 5 weeks of hell (with no alcohol), so what the heck.  Well, I had the best night sleep ever!!  No Beast visit and my head felt 100% normal!!  I probably won't tempt the Beast again like that, but I must say.  It was wonderful.

Well, 2-1/2 days of imbibing without problem!!!  I was getting so depressed what with the beast and work, and nothing at night to lessen the strain.  I hope it last for a while.  Here's a toast to pf days and nights!   Cool

What a weird mob we CHeads are.  I mean, really, what other dread disease comes with its very own "beer test"?

Regardless, I never crack a tinnie without thinking of those who can't.

A beer during the hockey game sounds like heaven.  I might really need one after the game if not during depending on my Flyers.  Like jj I made it through last night without one for the first time in three weeks.  I don't think I've got the stones to have one just yet though.

Enjoy the paid free days!
