We decided to stay at hom last night and le the storm blow in front of us. We will be leaving in a couple hours, stopping in KC to see the father-in-law for lunch and then continue on our trek. All in all, it's 8hrs...good driving conditions...this could be a very stressful day.
Say prayers for a safe and uneventful drive, we'll check in to let ya'll know we arrived in one piece...

You guys will chase the snow across Iowa in front of you, no freezing rain fell up this far, so it's just snow and the cold temps that are road concerns. I'll keep you posted if the road conditions are bad and if the storm changes it's mind on anything from yesterdays forecast.

Greetings from the north . . . this storm is a bust in our little corner of the world (thank whichever deity you care to). The radar has shown us getting smacked with snow all day and it's only actually reached the ground for about an hour.

I had to call and cancel my reservation today and won't be able to make it after all. I just spent 48 hours in the hospital being poked, prodded and tested. The neuro, who is not my neuro, thinks that I either went into a delirious state due to my sodium and potassium being way low as a side effect of my meds, or I had a seizure due to my meds. This really sucks as I wanted so much to come, but right now, I am just happy to be home. And I'm not allowed to drive or be alone until I have had a follow up with the neuro.
So, I am counting of each of you to have an adult beverage for me, and make sure we get pictures!!
