So I had orientation today for nursing school. HOLY CRAP! I am going to be so far in debt I am not going to be able to see out and extremely EXHAUSTED! It's all good though, I am going to be a NURSE! So, who's gonna let me practice putting in an IV, take blood or put in a catheter? C'mon guys, I'm gonna need practice and you know it's not gonna hurt as much as your hypomathingy acting up!

Thank you, no. I've already been practice for too many interns, med students and nursing students.

I've already done my time as a voodoo doll, in Army medical school, and given thousands of shots, IV's, and blood draws. If I never see another IV ever again, it'll be too soon.

Nice going!

Nursing is hard work and you have to put up with people like us :o. There are several retired nurses in my family and some friends too. I've heard too many jokes to trust any of you. 8)

Uh............ I think I heard Don in the backround. He's volunteering for the catheter.

I'm not doctor.. but i think he's right.
He should have one immediately.

And dont they do some thing with a glass rod???

I'm afraid I must politely decline. I have this thing with needles. Funny for someone with 14 piercings, but there ya go.

I've always thought working in the medical field would be rewarding, but ya gotta work with all those sick people... ;)

Hay Karen- Thats awesome! I don't want you to stick me with needles (i do that enough on my own) or a catheter or anything, but I am very very happy for you! You can take my temperature... orally, thats about it. :P
