A while back a got a 2 tickets on my way to work. Well I did let them slip my mind for a few weeks, but then I get the notice that they set a date for Judgement on them where-by they could add 12% interest to the balance. Well I sent the check to them in plenty of time out in the mail the next day.

Or so I thought...they held my check 10 days so the judgement could be taken and docketed before cashing the damn thing!!!!!! It takes one day for in-town mail. I'm seeing red!!!!!

Just had to vent...sorry....back to regular programming....flaming....and downright flogging... >:(

Bureaucracy, the brakes to mobile anything. No wonder we have so many people working in government not doing anything useful. I think they just time things to see how slow they can make them go.

I'm a freaking single Mom woking my ass off for a pittance and my credit isn't the worlds best,...and they pull this shit?

postal money order and certified mail for me, I know too many peaple who had there licience suspended becouse something went wrong.

I have confirmation from my bank that the check was chashed..2 days after judgement was docketed..the Bastages!!!!

I work in the credit/collection industry...I've seen how fast these folks can post payments to keep things from getting docketed.

It's a farce. This was deliberate.

I would appeal it and point that out to a judge. He might just dismiss the whole mess.

My liscense was suspended without notification for forgetting to pay ticket. Cop randomly ran my plate one day and pulled me over. I was hancuffed and ankle shakkled, thrown in jail for 3 hours and then brought to court cuffed and shakled.

Lucky for him I'm caucasian or I would have gotten him for profiling.

It'slike the credit card companies who can take up to 2 weeks to process payments thereby accumulating late fees. We are at the mercy of the money grubbers. You need to send the paymenet before you get the bill or in your case, pay the fine before you get the ticket.

Had the same thing happen to me in a small town in Ohio. Got pulled over for having a burned out license plate light, (are you fucking kidding me!?), and they found out my license had been suspended for not paying a ticket. I'd gotten it on my wedding day, (no shit), and had forgotten completely about it. Spent the night in jail while in cycle and getting hit hard. I actually brought my o2 tank with me in the cruiser but had to beg them to give it to me in my cell in the middle of the night. They wouldn't do it. I was so pissed.

I got a $5 parking ticket for parking in what looked like a parking spot for something as short as my Jeep, but it was actually the last line in the row. I mailed it in in nickels. >:( [smiley=laugh.gif]

This kind of thing pisses me off. No matter what they say, they overdo this. I read about travel to the US in a British newspaper last year and they said that if you drive in the US; don't get arrested as it's extremely humiliating.

I miss our old country.
