It was Christmas time across the world,
For most the pain of days past forgotten.
Shorter days, and longer nights gave no relief,
Knowing the pain would return, his only belief.
Had to still complete the tasks at hand,
He was but a man.
Chronic he now is,
Days without pain he remembers.
Wishing for relief, for just a few days,
His children he knows have games to play.
How he wishes he could join but knows he cant finish,
For the pain like a thief will his pleasure diminish.
Try he will, but succeed still uncertain,
He puts his guard down and his head will start hurting.
A break he will take, when asked will say,
I am doing just fine, go back in and play.
I only know but for this beast would I be,
A Daddy like my children want.
My life a mess I truly believe,
Then the gift of family comes back to me.
To let them down truly a shame it would be,
The Beast I fight and keep it to me.
For it’s Christmas time and my duty is clear,
The Beast will not win again this year.
Not matter how much I struggle alone,
My children and wife are my true throne.
For with them I win alone I may falter,
My life it is clear, My family my alter.
To us that battle no matter from where,
We too are family, an alter to share.
Give hope to each other no matter how hard,
Our love for each other, our true Christmas card.

That was very awesome bro.  Wishing you and the whole family a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Thought I would share this from last year. Was a different perspective on a classic.

T'was The Night Before A Clusterhead's Christmas


T’was the night before Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, Not even a mouse
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there

I was already here nestled all snug in my bed
While visions of sugar plums danced in my head
And mama in her gown, and daddy in his cap
Had just settled down for a long winters nap

When from across the hall there rose such a clatter
I sprung from my bed to see what was the matter
I peered through the doorway and to my surprise saw
Daddy holding head as mom watched with awe

There were tears on his face rolling down to his chin
As he looked to the floor and said ‘Not again.”
He began pacing right next to the bed
In a back and forth motion, still holding his head

With a quiver and a shiver I felt real quick
I knew in a moment daddy must be sick
He yelled “Grab the ice!” as mommy came towards the door
I ran back to my room but still watched on in horror

She returned in a moment and I went back to see
Daddy was moaning and mumbling in such misery
He cried out to God and I got kind of scared
I couldn’t go into the room, I didn’t dare

With a mask to his face he breathed rapidly
Gasping for air, or so it seems
His hand never left his head, except to punch the wall
Mommy prayed silently , and I went back across the hall

What lasted an hour seemed likes days or maybe years
An unimagined terror way beyond all of my fears
I think it’s over now, at least they’ve turned out the light
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

T'was The Night Before Christmas  is one of my favourite poems..... That version, just made me cry Carl  :'( :'(

The night has fallen, The beast finds me
Hand to my eye I rock with fright
I’ve never seen such a night
But it’s December 24th,
And I’m longing to be pain free…

I’m dreaming of a pain free Christmas,
For every Clusterhead tonight
Where the beast is missing
No 02 tanks hissing
And we all sleep right through the night.

I’m dreaming of a pain free Christmas,
No Triptans found around the tree.
Where no ice packs needed
No temples beaten
No beast, this day for us to fight.

I’m dreaming of a pain free Christmas,
For every Clusterhead tonight
Where the beast is missing
