My name is Shani & I am a 32 yr old sufferer. I have suffered for 12 yrs now w/only temp. relief once-in-a-while. Topamax used to work for me but now even at 300mg it isn't. When I found this website I wanted to cry but I couldn't because I new I would start a flair, as I call them. I have tried EVERYTHING - including morphine, which didn't work - I flaired again w/in 3 hours. I have been in the middle of a cluster now for about 4 weeks and as I am sure all of you know, I am always in pain. Thank you for giving me a place to vent and have people to talk with who know exactly what I am going through. ::)

I am so happy that you found this site.. The first time I came here I wanted to jump for joy..It stinks knowing that other people go through this torture but it's comforting to have someone that understands..I've learned alot from this site, I would suggest that you read as much on here as possible...
I'm sorry that you are hurting right now but I wish you many many pain free days.. Hang in there! :)

Hi Shani and welcome,

So sorry that you in pain and have to be here. There is much information to be had here and a lot of very knowledgable suffers who can offer great advice.

I too have had CH for 12 years. My current cycle started in May. I'm currently on 480mg of verapamil, 300mg neurontin (which doesn't appear to be working) and Imitrex nasp sprays to abort (I hate needles).
