Title: Wonder if I can blame this on clusters!
Post by LadyElaine on Jan 20th, 2006, 8:24pm
I got a new cordless phone for Christmas.
I am always cleaning up stuff. You know see a glass put it in the sink in soapy water. Well yesterday I had the cordless phone in my hand and walked through the kitchen, I don't know why but I put the phone in the dish water, took about three steps and stopped dead in my tracks. Looked up in the air and said,  please tell me I did not do what I think I did. I walked back looked down in the sink and there it was.
I got to blame it on something instead of losing my mind!
OK Clusters it is!

Buddy has had a good time with it. He called me today and sounded like he was under water LOL!

I'm not saying a word. I found out a long time ago if you say anything - you'll do the same thing within 5 mintues.....

Thanks for the smile kids.... I just blame everything on being old.....

I probably put the cereal in the fridge and milk in the pantry at LEAST 3 times a week myself... and I'm only 31!! ;;D

Elaine, that is too damn funny, LOL! [smiley=laugh.gif]

Oh Lord, Elaine - I don't think there's anyone else but you that can tell a story and make me see the picture!

Hell, I'm 63 and you don't even want to know the numbers of times I've done something like that.  I refuse to blame it on old age - and with advanced apologies to any of you that are blondes, I simply refer to them as my blonde moments.

Love ya lots Elaine.

Yes. The fun is just beginning.

As far as I know, it's 1958 here. Has been for several years, I think, maybe, or something.

Don't worry, Elaine. It's not always about age or ch. My twentysomething flatmate found her remote control from the fridge the other week... ;;D These things happen. ;)

Your'e not alone Elaine, I still have stains on the ceiling from where I answered the hand mixer instead of the phone while making chocolate cakes..
And I've lost count of the times I've peeled potatoes and thrown the spuds out instead of the peelings.
For some of us there is just no hope!  ::)

If I were still married my wife would have blamed it on me.

I tried that phone number just to see who would answer but it sounded like a dorm...........I'll need at least a first name.

For Sale.........Mirrors,  6"L X 4"H.  For the "mature" person who doesn't want to see too much of themselves.  I've been using them for about 9 years now and haven't aged more than 2 years.

Elaine, your wit is priceless!

Hmmmm.......I'm willing to bet that about 9 years ago you had one of those full length mirrors. You know, the mirror you could stand facing it and see your butt
hanging between your knees.
Been there, done that.

Yesterday morning - unwrapped two Halls Mentho's, turned around and threw them in the garbage but kept the wrappers.  Unfortuantely there were witnesses!

I certainly blamed it on CH.   ::)

Ok sweets, here's one I just did...

We got some lovely hot chocolate goody bags with marshmallows and peppermint/chocolate swirl sticks to go with the movie "The Polar Express" from my Aunt.  Well, I put the powder in Lily's mug (we all got Christmas mugs too) and was heating the hot water in the microwave, when I decided to look at the bottom of the mug... upside down...

Guess what happened to the cocoa?

You'd think I'd remember in the course of 1 min. just what in the hell I was doing!! [smiley=ohjez.gif]

*sigh*

I once set the wrong railcar out for interchange, and I triple check myself, still got by me. It was an expensive head in ass moment.............

I blame everything on CH....it's so much simpler that way. ;;D
Thanks for the story and pics, Elaine...I especially like the lady looking in the pool.  I've been misplacing things since my 30's.  One instance that comes to mind is putting a wedge of cheese in the utensil drawer for a couple of days.  So I'm pretty certain this isn't an age thing.http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/6839/bonggggg2lk.gif

I tried to unlock the back door when I got home from town again with my truck remote......then my remote died over the holidays for sum odd reason and I about freaked out and got all stressed out wondering what I was goin to do until I could get a new one to lock my truck......but then it dawned on me about 20 minutes later.......I have a key also !? I've also made Brad's lunch early in the morning after not much sleep and alot of stress and LOST it.......I made the sandwich and had no clue where the hell I stuck it. I have been tryin hard to keep things tidy around here and pick up after 'ourselves'.....(yeah there is anouhter SELVE here that drops and goes and won't pick up after them'selves') and guess I put everything away includeing the dam sandwich. But where ?? So I had to make anouther one.....found the original a few days later in the cheese compartment. If I had brains I'd be dangerous Pam

Acidentally left the one small lizard's terrarium door open too one day tryin to do ten things at once.......I actually caught them. One got outside when I open'd the slideing door and was hideing.....got it couple days later runnin across the deck. Other one was on the glass door and about flipped me out when I see it at eye level and didn't know it wa missing.
