Title: A visit with Santa... Post by Melissa on Dec 8th, 2007, 5:40pm and each time he asked Eli what he wanted for Christmas, all Eli could say was "toys". lol http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/mfiltz/b1-1.jpg Long day, was supposed to take Lily to Karate, then lunch with the kids then Santa and a little shopping. Ended up in Urgent Care with Eli due to him having a very itchy rash all on his chest and belly. It was caused by the kitty he was holding across the street for a few days this past week. He's quite allergic so I gotta make sure he limits his time there or stock the Benedryl when he goes. Fun, fun, fun! Now tonight after Jesse & Lily get home from church, we're going to decorate the tree. ;;D Hope everyone's weekend is going well! |

Title: Re: A visit with Santa... Post by Melissa on Dec 8th, 2007, 5:59pm Shedz- normally it is myself and the kids that do it, but beings I'm 6 months pregnant with a big belly, it gets kinda hard and I tire more easily now. I'm going to take my time and am getting into the mood with all the holiday shows tonight on Food Network. ;;D |

Title: Re: A visit with Santa... Post by sandie99 on Dec 9th, 2007, 6:24am Wow, you guys sure get your trees early! Back in here we get a real Christmas tree and they are not selling them until next weekend. We're getting ours few days before Christmas Eve, around 21st, and let it melt a bit. I'm in charge of most decorations; mom just puts the lights on (that's the first thing). When dad was still with us, the real tree was a must, but since his death we've had "real-plastic" battle each year. Mom cannot be serious about the plastic tree, though, because she would have bough one years ago behind my back if she would be. ;) I love the genuine scent of the real tree, so I hope that mom won't get that plastic one any year soon... :) Luckily I get to go to the tree- picking trip. It's lots of fun to look at the trees and pick the best. Dad was an expert and I learned everything I know from him (most of my skills came with my genes ;)), so each year when I'm along, I make sure that the tree is tall enough, pretty and has branches all around. One year we got a tree as a gift and it didn't have any branches on one side and the family are still joking about that tree... :-X Sanna |
