Story said his doctors discovered advanced prostate cancer in 2004. How does somebody discover advanced prostate cancer without having experienced some symptoms before that?

What a great story teller he was. Pat had his Leader of the Band played at her dad's funeral.

Advanced prostate cancer just means that the cancer has escaped from the prostate gland. Mine was just about to and I had absolutly no symptoms. My psa was even low. Thats why it is SO important to be checked every year after 50 unless your family has a history. Then it should be every year after 40. It's all about catching it while it is still encapsulated.

Wow, I can't believe it. Dan grew up in East Peoria, just across the river from me. I knew him when I was younger, and his mother, she was great. He used to come over to another friend of mine, and they'd get their guitars out and fool around. That was always fun.

I saw him in concert a few times, and they were the best concerts I've been to.

Rest in Peace, Dan. I'll miss you. :'(

This so bummed me out, used to play his song "The Reach" as we'd head out on the ocean fishing. Another one gone way too soon.
