Title: I did it! Post by E-Double on Feb 26th, 2006, 5:37pm I'm completely med free for the first time in nearly 2 yrs. I still have daily attacks but they seem to be much shorter in duration. It was a difficult detox but I stuck to my guns and I am now completely free and clear. I can also say that I feel like I have much more energy despite the wake up calls and that I am definitely more lucid! E |

Title: Re: I did it! Post by Guiseppi on Feb 26th, 2006, 6:12pm Congrats, I've heard lots of good results from the chronics who detox. I'm blessed to be an episodic so I stay fairly short duration on my meds. I tip my hat to anyone with the courage to cold turkey it. Guiseppi |

It was far from cold turkey. I'm not stupid ;) I started detoxing @ a slow rate of 40mg per week. This took me from the beginning of Decmeber until now. Thanks for the support y'all |

Title: Re: I did it! Post by MJ on Feb 27th, 2006, 12:23am Way to go Eric. You have my respect. Not an easy job. I think you may also find the hits a lot cleaner as well. More so, the recovery from a hit may be faster. Like Aussie above, other than the seeds this year, I hadnt taken meds in over 10 years. Hope relief comes soon. MJ |

Title: Re: I did it! Post by nadaharba7 on Mar 4th, 2006, 3:40am First Thank you Mrs Indie Cooper-Guzman, and all workers in this web site, www.webmd.com, This is part of my results after more than 7 years only in migraine study,. Maybe you will be surprized if I tell you that all peoples has some kinds of migraine headaches,,,. Migraine headaches is one of allergic reactions in the body,,,more detalis later,,,. When you see un allergic reaction in the skin you well see a red zone, (due to exagerate vasodilatations in small vessels,). ,, Now to understand the mechanism of pain producing, just go in your think to pain producing from herniated disk, the disease it self is in the lombar vertebra not in legs itself but the pain is more in the legs,,,Why? of cours because of the pressing over the nerve in the lombar vertebra not in legs, but pain appear in all spread of nerve,. Now back to migraine headaches, what we have , We have the superfficial temporal artery and the Trigiminal nerve ramure surrended all the superficial temporal artery and all its branches. Trigiminal branches are too sensitive ramure and its inervate the forhead and top of head and face sensitive feeling, and most important to know that Trigiminal nerve also inervate tha external sensitive eyes layers,,,,,. As I said some allergic agent internal or external can be different (sun, chees, conserved foods, ice creams, some smalls, etc,,,) will cause un alleric response from superfficial temporal artery, and the response will be by ACTIVE SUPERDILATATION of wall vessels that will cause a SUPER EXTENS of very sesitive trigiminal ramurs arround this arteries,. That will cause the migraine headaches, and explain why the patients said that the headaches is pulsatile sensations, (due to super dilatations of vessels walls every time pass throught it the blood wave,),. My pressure points in Place # 1 And #2, prove that by disappear of all migraine headaches by cloosing the artery in this places and stop th fizical effects over the trigiminal ramure so the headaches will stop in maximum 60 secounds, if pressure points done by un experts,. This allergic reaction must complicated than that, its legated to alarm system in the brain, which know before the pain in some cases and due to some chmical vasoconstrictores released as a defense for this allergic reaction cause less blood in brain vessels and cause the aura and accompanied symptoms,,,,HERE YOU MUST UNDERSTAND ME WHEN I TALK ABOUT THE TRIPTANS DANGER,,,. Sorry I have to go;;I will continue later,, Thank You Good Indie Good Wishes to all migraine patients only and for migraine drugs agents I dont care if I let you in depression situations,. www.migrainesurgery.4t.com |

I had a period of nearly 3 weeks in November of which I was nearly PF. I decided that regardless of outcome I wanted to give it a shot. I was tired of side-effects. It just came down to being tired of meds and wanting the option to try "alternatives" if I chose to do so. Slowly I tapered and despite having an increase in attacks with every step down, I started to realize that they were shorter in duration. They became more stable. They were like clockwork again. This is not to say that if desperate I would not try it again, however, I would really have to be past the breaking point.....I think. I feel healthier overall now. That's my story. |
