Title: enlarged hypothalmus question
Post by jmorgan52 on Oct 11th, 2002, 1:33am
It seems generally accepted on this site that an enlarged hypothalmus is the cause of CH. What is the nature of this enlargement? Is it enlarged all the time or only during CH episodes (for episodics)? Does it reduce in size between episodes?

What is the addional material it contains - is it more tissue (ie just bigger), or is it fluid or chemicals or what. Is it inflamed? Can anyone answer and explain it to me.

J

There's hypothalmus information on the OUCH site.

jmorgan52,

Try a search for: "Peter Goadsby" using your favorite engine.  I feel that it is very interesting to see the chronicalogical progression of what is currently understood about CH's.

(Hi Bob! Been to Vegas lately?)
