Well, I'm back. I was last here posting a few years ago when the website did not have the same message format.
Looks like I'm in a bit of trouble now with a cycle and it's nice to have so many others that can relate to the pain and life-altering problem we all have.
I'm male, 42 and have had on/off CHA since 1976. I've tried just about everything except for Shrooms. If this doesn't clear up soon, I'll try that too.

Hey Matt - welcome. Hope this cycle is a short one for you. I use oxygen, Imitrex as abortives and Verapamil as a preventative. After the Vera kicked in, I really didn't need any abortives.

Last night I actually did not have to take an Imitrex injection! I woke several times and even now have some pressure and "the Shadow" but no real pain. Maybe, just maybe the 80mg of Prednosone in addition to Verapamil is beginning to kick in. I can actually function at work today.

Hello All,
I'm new to the chat room, but not new to CHA. Have lived with mild to severe for 8-10 yrs, normally for 4-5 weeks, with 1 to 2 years CHA free. Now taking Middrin, as needed and Depakote 500MG twice daily.
Dr took me off Depakote last week, now using Indomethacine 25mg, after meals. Not much relief. Dr suggested Botox shot, I declined. Any thoughts?
