Title: I think I might be the beginning of the end...
Post by Linda_T on Feb 15th, 2002, 7:23pm
Just to follow up on my previous posts.  I just finished two (2) courses of pred and the pred burst was great.  Unfortunately, it didn't last too long.  I was still taking 50 mg elavil a day (since November) and that doesnt seem to be working either.  I called the neuro Monday and told him I wanted to taper that too because I'm sick of the meds so now I'm tapering that too.  Still have the imitrex, just in case.

The good news is, for the last two days, I've been totally pf - no shadows, no nothing.  I've yet to mention this to any of my family or friends (you guys and the first I'm telling) because somehow I feel like if I say it out loud I'll jinx it.  Since all of my attacks come in the dead the night, I'm the only one to witness my dementia so it's kinda easy to pull this past my husband.  These are the first 2 days of totally pf that I've had since early November.  I forgot how good it feels.

I want to thank everyone here for all of the support and understanding.  This is a great place to come when you're down and out.  I hope and pray that you all feel totally pf one day.  There is hope.  Never ever ever let the beast win.  Kick his ass!  You can do it, we all can.  Stick together - it helps.

This won't be my last post (probably just my longest).  I plan on sticking around (with the beast or without).  PF to you all.

Hooray!! I am so glad to hear you are pain free!! I sincerely hope that it lasts. Please keep us updated. Your attitude is great! You surely have not let that demented sick f*** of a beast whoop your ass. (Notice how good I did and didn't even swear really?)

I am glad that you will be sticking around and helping those less lucky than you at the moment.

Peace and love,
Georgia
