1. Find a good doctor. Pick up the phone call around ask questions before you walk in the door.
2. Find the right drug. You can find drugs used to fight cluters here and on the OUCH site.
3. Take control of your health care, research and go to the doctor ready.
4. Give the drug you take a chance…it takes a couple of weeks for some of the preventive to get in your system.
5. You know you are going to get hit be prepared, have everything you need in one place.
If you drink coffee and need that have it ready to turn on, if you need a cold rag put a wet rag in the freezer, have it ready, Have your meds ready and easy to get to. Don’t wait to take your meds know your body and the signs of a attack coming on take your meds at first signs.
6. Tell your family and friends what you need when in pain..if it is to be left alone tell them if its to be to hold your hand tell them. They can not read your mind.
7. The attacks over your tired. Lean back drink a cup of coffee, and smile its over its gone and you did the best you could. Relax a few minutes. Now get back to living again, you know another one is coming but forget it for now. Go hug your wife your child your dog your cat call a friend. Just don’t sit there mad and worring about the next attack. It may come and it may not. If you don’t know what to do. Read everything on OUCH and ch.com till you can not read any more. The answer is here.
8. Laugh a little get out and walk, walk the pain away. Run go swimming. Exercise, start laughing . It can’t hurt!!! Many have found these things help.
9. If you are depressed from the drug you take Then get help for that!! Tell your doctor that a drug is causing you more harm than good. Maybe that drug is not for you.
10. Go places enjoy…if you get hit take your meds. If someone looks at you like you’re a nut who cares you will more than likely never see them again. After you are better nicely tell them about clusters. If someone says they know what they are going threw because they have migraines, tell them your sorry they have those, that you understand how bad they are also. Then nicely tell them what clusters are. They may know more than you give them credit for, and you might could help each other.
11. Stay hopeful, think positive, enjoy your pain free time, and find something to laugh about. Even if its nothing but Jonny in a dress and his kick ass boots. :-)

How to keep the clusters from winning..........

Get a job in an ER ..............

A 22 year old young man hit a tree head on......his life is gone.

A 53 year old woman had lumps under her chin and other places...........cancer throughout her body.....should have had that mamogram. She tried to end her life last night.

A pickup truck loaded with teens ( in the bed of the truck) rolled over several times......crushed a few kids.

GI bleeds, Respratory failure, heart attacks,
strokes.....................

A baby in cardiac arrest...didn't make it.

Families crying................

I'm so lucky......thanks for hearing my prayers, Lord.

Please keep my family(s) safe.

They have a terrible affliction, but they'll live.
