Woobie, you won't like the answer because they are short arsed, hairy footed, eat too much and live in burrows. Grin
 
Easiest way to see what a Hobbit is is to go and see Lord of the Rings. Even if you hate fantasy literature (which normally I do) the films are brilliant!
