Question (and my update)

Grin

Is it typical for you to lose weight when you are in cycle or when you have a swift augmentation of the attacks (chronic suffers)?

It is just a curiousity. I lose 3 kg in a month during this bad time. But I’m happy because it is healthy for the body. LOL! I will bring weight during Christmas time eating spaghetti and panettone....  Grin

Last night I slept without the beast and I slept for 5 hours. Yeah!!!

Sorry, when you are dancing real hard with the beast you just celebrate all the little things. After the past 2 months I have been able to sleep for about 2 hours, so I’m excited! Grin

Today I had only shadows, the beast wants to tell me that she exists, but for today I have won, phew Grin! But I know, this will be probably only for a day, but I do my happy dance while I have the chance. Undecided

And your presence makes the sufference lighter... God, Thank you!!!

I love you all so much, Zaira  Kiss

Hey Zazi

Good news all round  Grin! Sleep and losing weight.
I've been dieting for the last few weeks just so as I can pig out over Christmas and go back to thesame weight as when I started!

Hope the improvement continues

I tend to lose weight when I am in cycle also.  The problem I have is that I can't afford to lose weight.  I just don't have much of an appetite when I am getting hit.

Glad you're doing better.

I also tend to lose a little weight during cycle.  Almost 15 lbs. last time.

Zazi,

Glad you were able to get some sleep.  Smiley The sleep deprevation is one of the hardest things for me.

Although I am certain I must loose some weight when I am getting hit - I have no appetite at all - I've never lost enough to be alarming.   The last time I took Prednisone I gained 12 pounds, but this last cycle has taken care of most of that...

I hope your PF status will continue!

I lost a few pounds during my last cycle too, but I think maybe it was because I spent most of my nights pacing the floors (exercize) and most of my days on this message board and forgot about eating..... Grin

CHEER ZAZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope the beast stays away a long time.

For me yes. I've lost about 15 lbs since these started in July.  Course that is why my doc is saying that it cant be clusters, cause he says that people dont get nausious (sp?) with clusters.  But I hardly have any appitite when I am getting hit and I eat cause I know I need to , but if I eat a beg meal and then get hit I end up throwing it up after about on hour of K6+.

I lost exactly 1 pound per month while I was chronic.  Even the doctor commented on how regularly I was losing the weight.  I went from 219 lb to 189 lb and that's where I am now.

I was looking forward to reaching 175 lb, but I'm not chronic anymore.  Boo hoo.

Zazi,

So glad you are doing better!  Keep it going!!

Can't say if I lose weight or not, but I don't eat regularly or well when being hit hard.

Stay well!  Praying for you.

Zaira, it is just wonderful to hear your news...... a night of sleep means a lot during this time and I'm glad you had some restful time.

Any pain free time makes us happy for you, and hope it keeps up for a longer amount of time.

Keep up the fight dear, and keep us posted too.

Thanks for reply and for the thoughts.

I’m having 3 night PF, and for us it is good sleeping during the night!

The peoblem is that the beast has changed its “timetable”, how it heats me during the day.

But I’m  convinced that, if you go on, mee too I’ll also go on... Wink
