Title: Episodic or remission?
Post by Tracy37 on Jan 9th, 2003, 5:20am
::)  Okay, I admit it - I'm a complete 'DUH'!

But after catching up on some of the posts I was wondering if my statement of being in remission is correct.  I still have attacks about 1-2 times a month.  So is that remission or episodic?

I have to say I don't get them all the time like I did, but then I used to get them all the time between September to July.  Then from July to September they'd be clear.

So what do you guys think?  Am I deluding myself thinking I'm in remission with them, but am really episodic; or am I right?

Thanks guys!

Take care.

Catch you on the flip!

Hi Tracy, In my opinion if you are still getting attacks 1-2 a month then you are not in remission.  Maybe its leading up to it, maybe the beast decided to change his schedule, who knows with him but I do wish you luck and hope he is on his way out...

Hi Tracy.  An important question:  Are you currently taking any cluster headache preventative meds (like verapamil)?  If you are, then you probably can't say that you're in remission.  Remission is 2 weeks without cluster headaches and unmedicated.
