Hi Bazman,

Tell us a bit about yourself. DO you, or someone you know and love suffer from CH?

Look around the site get all the information available, and if you have questions, then by all means ASK. There are many folks on this site that have such a vast knowledge (unfortuantely from experience) of CH, and they are more than happy to help.

Welcome, and I hope you are pain free.

Silver Dolphins.

thanks for making me feel at home on this site.i am a cluster sufferer and have been one for the past twelve years i was finally diagnosed with ch in 2001 whilst in my local emergency room since then i have tried many drugs (which were supposed to be miracle cures)which have failed until recently a neurologist decided to try me on o2 and imigran subject which have seemed to work so far the only problem with it is that my local doctors know nothing about ch and seem to think that it is a very expensive drug for (just a ch)so i have to fight with them every 6 months to get more
also its nice to know that im not going insane and that there is people like myself out there.thanks again

Good to hear that you have the O2 and the imigran. Those are the abortivies of choice for most ch sufferers. See if your doc will prescribe a preventative like Verapamil.

And if the doc ever uses the phrase "just a ch", hit him in the head with a snow shovel and say "What's the problem doc? It's only a headache."

Hey Bazman- seems many docs dont have a clue about CH but just as many do.There is a doc list in the buttons to the right of some docs that know if you havent allready checked.. Glad you were finally diagnosed. Lots of info and experience here on this site for you.  If you found something that works it is priceless. Once diagnosed a lot of experimenting with different meds goes on for many.... Are you chronic or episodic?

Personally I would be looking for a new dr if I was told it was only a headache or only ch.  I can't believe the dr had the police escort you out.  How uncompationate and stupid.  He is ignorant about it.  I would be out of there and not going back.

Hi Bazman and welcome to the world of Clusterheads,

While your doctor is having his asschair surgically removed, do as Jarvis said and click to the left and find a doc who will at least not have you escorted away.  Sounds like you've got a good start on the 02 and Imitrex...just so sorry it was 12 years late.

Go join OUCH, it's a lifesaver, both mentally and physically, and read, read, read.  Then print out everything you can......take it to your local dr.

Good luck and here's wishing you many PFDAN,

Roxy

Welcome to the Nuthouse  bazman1,
We love new folks. Sorry you need us but we are glad you are here. If you have threatened a stupid doctor you are going be right at home here. Not that we all beat our Doctors, it just that is something we all can relate to. Good luck with the head.

Don't fergit the 'bad bad' docs colonoscopy.....when the chair is removed a firehose sized tube will be easy access.......the shovel will take care of any sedatives needed......we could start sellin VHS tapes.....and call it...."When CH'rs go wild".......Pam   ::)
