Title: Stupid question.... Post by jonny on Dec 23rd, 2003, 7:37pm Can I copy a 10 MB video onto a CD-R CD or do I need a DVD burner? Ive gone through two FTP's to two different websites and it wont take, tried emailing, zipping and emailing.....I cant get this fucking thing out of my puter......it plays fine when I watch it.....WTF? I dont have a DVD burner, just wondering if I can burn the file....probably not but thought I would ask cause its six mins of the Atlanta convenntion and most here will know the people on it. ..........................................jonny |

Title: Re: Stupid question.... Post by TomM on Dec 23rd, 2003, 8:08pm Hey jonny. Most CDs hold 700Mb of data and DVDs hold in the order of 4.3-4.7 Gb (that's Giga) of data. So the answer to your question is yes. A CD will hold your 10Mb file. For files of that size and nature I use a 128MB flash stich (a.k.a. memory stick) that plugs into my USB port. Much faster ans easier, IMHO. Hope that helps. What is the file extension? AVI? MPEG? WMV? MPG? TomM |

Post by Cerberus on Dec 23rd, 2003, 8:13pm J, VCD is simply an acronym (video compact disc) and most burning ware is capable of producing them, no special discs needed. fire up your burner and somewhere in the format types you can burn you should find VCD OR SVCD. If yo udon't have either of these in your software. check those discs I sent ya and load up the Nero program found on one of em. If you STILL have trouble then burn the file as data like you would an MP3. If yo would like to forgo all of the hoohoo, transfer it to me via FTP and I'll do the rest. Choose. Ramon |

I was able to burn AND watch it....you guys will not believe how many people on it you know or know of....Kip, Hub, TerryS, Elaine, Judy, Riccardo, Paco, NancyC, Den (Oh god), and a whole lot more that even the newbies know.
