eyesight a factor?

Hey all, I'm curious as to how many people here have poor eyesight. I know that sometimes if I'm K7 or above, if I take out my contacts, it seems to knock it down a level. Other times, however, it doesn't matter.
Also, the other day I had a public attack while at the eye place, trying on frames. Can eyestrain be a trigger? Or is that just coincidence? Or can eyestrain cause a headache that triggers a CH?
Any thoughts?

I wear glasses/contacts, with contacts being the majority of my correction. I've had them, CH, with and without my lenses. Maybe a corralation there, somewhere, but who knows.

When I watch TV a lot, when I haven't been, eyestrain will give me shadows. The effect is more pronounced when I'm on a computer without a LCD screen. Long distance driving is the same thing. So I would say yes.

Blind as a bad w/o corrective lenses.
Glasses get in the way of a 100% O2 mask fit.
What's to see, anyhow.....

sometimes i think that maybe there is one thing, something in common, that we all have, that makes these things appear. I know sometimes the eye thing seems to trigger them for me. I haven't had the issue w/ flashing lights though, or even a computer screen or tv. thank you all for your input.

Yeah, no watching Flashy Flashy Seizure Theatre on Japanimation Saturdays! Actually, when in cycle I watch most TV with the sunglasses on.

So eyestrain does seem to be a trigger for various people...i wonder if we all have something else in common, like using the same detergent or toilet paper...LOL

I think you have a great hypothesis because the first cluster I remember was right after I got glasses. However, I just had LASIC done in Feb. hoping that would cure me only to discover something very strange: I have a condition called esotropia - extremely slightly crossed eyes  (so slight that I've lived 33 yrs without ever knowing it; nor has anyone else noticed) So I wanted to ask if anyone had this condition; perhaps it would cause this?

My last attack was 13 years ago.
My eyesight was great when I was 23 in 1969. They began then and I didn't need reading specs until I was 47. I don't need them to scan my new monitor.
It's still pretty good for a 58 year old geezer.
Good luck and rant away if necessary.
