Your all nuts.....you were born with a fucked up brain....get it? No more, no less. Banging your head or what you do for a living has nothing to do with what you were born with. Ask Goadsby.... ...........................jonny

Ditto John's statement. A wrenched hypothalamus is the bane of all our existences.

There are many triggers... Many have some that are the same, and some are completely different. The thing that is the same with all of is that it hurts. There have been in other threads talks about there seem to be a lot of CH'rs that are high/over achievers... This sounds cool, but I am not sure that there is any vaildity in that.... --Ken

Hi there! When I was first diagnosed, I became obsessed about CH, too! I cannot tell you how much the occupation matters, but I am a media student, which means that I spend a lot of my time staring at computer screens while working on a story and reading books. So lots of stress to my head! As far as I have heard none of the neuros I have met (4 so far) have made any links with CH and occupation. But I sure would like to hear if there has been made some research about the matter! Best wishes, sandie99

Grocery Stocker Dish washer/prep cook Musical Instrument repairs/Guitar-Drum teacher Construction Worker Computer Programmer Computer Hardware Specialist Future Millionare I don't think any of them have anything to do with my screaming head. I tend to agree with jonny's statement about the fucked up brain. Possibly even head trauma at a young age although there are some here who will tell you that they have never had any head trauma.

The good old OUCH Library: http://www.clusterheadaches.org/library/general/lifestyle.htm Quote:Exposed to vast quantities of refrigerants such as R-11, R-12, & R-22. |
| That R-11 grows tumors on Gorilla balls. Had to get the last 2 300 ton screw chillers with R-22 cause my guys didn't want to wind up with deformed nuts.

The over-acheiver idea is interesting. I am one of those people who love stress. When in college, I had 5 majors, was involved in numerous extra-curricular activities, and I worked... Now, I work full time as an office/warehouse manager, I direct and write musicals, and am a father, full-time. It's like I can't be abusive enough to myself w/ stuff to do... interesting...
