Title: What to bring?  Want to start fresh w/ new ne
Post by inyoureye on Nov 5th, 2004, 10:20am
After finding this site last weekend, I realize that there is much more that can be attempted that none of my previous neuro/gp's have bothered to tell me about.  I want to present to new neuro, my own build up of info on the topics about CH that have prevailed with my specific case.  Is there any organized outline of what to bring and how to present it?  I have an appointment for Monday.

Here are some great links to proper medicinal treatment for CH:

Start keeping a scatter plot or some sort of data to log your HA's

I have a log of this cycle but that's it.  I plan on registering with C.H.A.T.S. soon too

Since you are in MA, you can PM Jonny or don and see who their neuro's are.  They live in your neck of the woods.  MA, anyway.  Maybe they can hook you up with someone who is well versed in CH.  Just my .02

Try this link.  None listed for RI, but maybe there is one somewhere near you.

Houdy Mr. Eye,
I always approach a neuro appt. as a business meeting
I prepare an agenda, topics of conversation, treatment possibilities, changes noted on diary, ect... Use him or her like any other tool against the demon, as they are only one tool and there are many. Depending on the individual be careful initially, some are put off when presented with internet information ...you  might want to get a feel for the doc first..then adjust your technique to the individual. I took in some stuff from the internet to my neuro and he already knew all about the ones I did and showed me few more. Study.. the more you know the better you can relate the information to the neuro. All the best

I would commute from Mass to Omaha if I had to just to keep my neuro.

I'm supposed to be working out of the Norwood office(UPS) (university ave just off rt 1 near all the car dealerships) for the months of Jan and Feb.  I was selected for a special project dealing with our safety committees district-wide and the training is 2 months in Norwood.  I will schedule an appointment w/ him just to have him look over my case (2nd opinion type thing).  Do you mind if I use you as a recommendation?

This shit is so much easier to deal with when you have a good neuro.

Good Luck!
