Title: Is this a bad year??
Post by ski2k on Dec 17th, 2004, 3:20am
Still new to the board, I may have missed something.
I've been reading a lot of postings, and I've seen many, many times people writing
"This is the worst I can remember" or
"My cycle never lasted this long before"

I know my cycle has been outta wack this time around, and I seem to be seeing a lot of that. Is it just me or is something going on here???
Just wanted to know.

Thanks, and PF wishes !!!!!!!!!

my take on this is that CH is a progressive condition and it's EVERYBODY's worst year, because it always gets worse....
Yes, CHronics are already at max, so maybe it's not worse for them, and the medicated ones might have it under some level of control, but....

I have been hearing and reading lots of reports about the polution in the area.  Dont eat the fish, ect.ect.ect.  I live out in the country, and figure it must be really bad in population.  When I first experienced CH,  I was living in a highly populated area.  Moving out here has not helped.  I have to wonder if there is a connection with CH and the polution that is killing us all.  Just a thought.

Not for me.

My cycle vanished about a month ago.  Was the same as all of my cycles in the past 8 years or so.  No fun, don't get me wrong, but nothing like what I used to go through before the newer meds.  The cycles are getting further apart for me too.  I am hopeful that one day I can say the beast has left me alone for good.

well, I have only had this condition for ab out 6 years,
3 or 4 times a year.

This is only the second December hit I can recall.

I had shadows throughout November which
had never happened either.

As far as better or worse....
I cannot say.
Weather pressure has a big effect on me.
so any thunderstorm can set it off....
but then agaon so can a blizzard.

but it is still rare enough that I don't know for sure.

GL.

This sucks.  This is my worst year ever in the 27 I've suffered through.  I had almost 2 years of remission, only to get hit starting November 3.  I haven't slept through the night since.
Never has a cycle gone this close to the Christmas season, and I don't see a break in the near future.  All my hits are in the 8 to 9 range, 3 times a night.  Christmas is gonna suck.  I've got a new grand-daughter and won't even be able to enjoy her first Christmas.  I still work 10 hour days and I'm worn out.  I just want some sleep...blessed sleep.  Nothing seems to work this time.  Even my hair hurts, but at least I've still got hair.
