i think i broke its back

i think i broke my hellish cycle...no CH's for over 24 hours..im back at work...my cycle began about 26 days ago and really peaked 3 days ago 9-10 on the kip..i went on inj of trex and nasal on friday and went to emergency on sunday mornin and got 100% o2 for about an hour which stopped the shadow headaches..i've takin a nasel shot yesterday mornin and have been trex free since then...i've got small shadow headeaches but thats it...the other MAJOR thing i did was stop smokin totally cold turkey for about 6 days now as well as all alcohol and coffee and drink tons of water...i dont know if it was a combo of these things but i really feel 95 % better, thanx to yur advice...i hope to god it lasts..and i hope this info helps some of you

Congrats!!!
I am not convinced that quitting smoking has anything to do with it, but it is better to be a non-smoker. I think the trick that has stopped them is your intake of water. Have you read the water X 3 button on the left of the screen?
Hope this gives you a break till the next cycle. I recommend not having another cycle within the next 99 years.

That is great news! I hope your cycle is gone. Water does seem to help with the cycle. With mine it lessened the severity of the headaches at times. I tried to keep hydrated, because I know even the slightest dehydration can cause a headache, not a cluster, but a headache.

I've got a case of ice cold mich.lites in my frige.They look so damn good in there.But I'm scared to death of them right now.When my cycle is over for sure I'm gonna hit 'em hard one time.Black coffee is getting me through.I'm on Relpax.Even though i've read it's not for clusters it seems to be helping.no full blown assults in 3 days,just slight shadow headaches.i can function.

There was a recent post by (I think) Pink Floyd. He wrote an excellent procedure step by step on the shrooms. I can't seem to find it right now. Maybe someone else will know where it's at. Check the Meds board.

yeah the shadow headaches are a beatch...this cycle i got them real bad...i was thinkin i was gettin rebound...shit i dont know...i DO know it was a friggin nitemare..and i agree with ya about alcohol and triggerin attacks...usually for me its not always the trigger...like this time i think it had more to do with me vacationing in a different hemisphere where it was summer time and suddenly coming back to 5 pm nite time that blew my brain apart...who the f knows...the best thing about this cycle was that I found this site...amen and everybody hang in there, please!!!!

Eyecrusher, if a med works for you, then it IS for cluster headaches! I am not sure if ANY med lists that it is for CH! But if it works for you, it goes onto our list of meds that work for some people!
