Heres the skinny....I gots a laptop and the only jack to connect to the net is a phone jack, so I got me a cardbus network adapter card. The store geek said to just put it in and install the drivers, then just plug your cable line into it....WRONG!
The drivers went in fine, when I check in the device manager it says the card is working properly. Its sending packets but not recieving.
Ideas and or questions are welcome...

Have you killed/uninstalled any firewall software/hardware? Don't just turn it off,.....make sure it doesn't start when you boot your POS.

Broke my ass
It seems that the cable line knows my puter and wont work on another (I dont know the lingo, so STFU )
But a quick call to Fubar and im up and running, unplug the modem and when it fires back up theres a new puter there....And it worked....LMAO
