There was a song with the line "when the going gets tough" by Billy Ocean .. I was convinced it was "Go and get stuffed"... I think I just need new ears!

The classic version of Manfred Manns Earth Band "Blinded By The Light." I always thought growing up that the line directly after that in the chorus was... "Blinded by the light... Wrapped up like a douche, you know the runner in the night" The actual lyric is... "Blinded by the night... Cut loose like a deuce another runner in the night" This thread has me in hysterics!!! Blinded by the light is the worst lyrics that noone understands!! LOL

Bob Marley's "I shot the sheriff" - I thought it was a drinking song called "Wine, shot, and Sherry". My younger sister cracked me up when I heard her singing the Rolling Stones' "Beast of Burden" - she sang I'll never drive your big Surburben.... Chris

that line in the song by Elton John... "I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind that I put down into words" well Scott used to think it was A HOKEY DOUGH MA A HOKEY DOUGH MA etc... one day he asked me what that meant. I almost died laughing... and Breezy's rendition of Ghost Busters instead of Who you gonna call... she sings WHO BA DOBA CALL... GHOST BUSTERS... YA THEY ARE MY KIDS........... REE

I always just used to sing, "OH WE OH, OOH WE OH" Apparently, the guards weren't that fond of the witch but very afraid of her. What they were actually singing was: "OH WE LOATHE, THE OLD ONE" Kevin M |
