I also can't take triptans...the only advice I can give you is to take the Morph about 1/2 hour before a cluster that comes at the same time every day. It probably won't do much if you wait until the pain is extreme. It stinks but like I always tell myself..."better pain, then dead". Good Luck, Jimmy modified for my crappy spelling. |

We have had sucess at different levels of the drug from 25 mcg to 100mcg. It is a narcotic but it doesn't leave you feeling druged up and out of it. You are 100% functional. |

Prolonged morphine use can't be good for your mind either. My brother was on it for weeks after some intense back surgery and he couldn't take it - made him go crazy. Stick with O2 and try some other stuff, try the shrooms? |

Title: Re: Going to kill the doc Post by sailpappy on Dec 21st, 2004, 10:21pm Svenn, You and everyone here knows how against any Narcotic drugs I was before I tried Oxycontin, I use to go in about every 4 to 10 years and get 100mg of Morphine to knock me out so I could get a few hours sleep, but the Oxy worked for me, really worked, no dizzy, buzzed out feeling like Morphine and it worked for a long time. I quit thinkng there might be a connection between my other health problems, but Brother, it works, I don't care what anyone tells you about it, You can be called an Oxy head and cut down by all the better than thou's but I average 7 a day and at 10 t0 15 a day the Oxy was the only thing that kept me from ending it all together. Just my Humble Opinion but with 35 years of documentation and having tried every other drug out there it was a miracle for me! Pappy |
