Best bad opening line to a novel where main character is a Clusterhead.

As the pain retreated, a deep, mind shaking panic set in as he half stared upon the warm meaty sphere nested in the palm of his hand and wondered the cost of a glass eye, where does one get one, and would they have it in brown.
