Anyone know how to get rid of this little gem:

istsvc.exe

SpyBot cant do it.

Check this link.

It includes renoval instructions from Symantec.

It may ask you to make modifications to your registry. If you are not familiar/comfy with this, have your local geek help you out.

Let me know if it helps or if you need some coaching with it.

Edited to add: I read a little closer and see that there is a link to a removal tool that may be a little easier for non-geeks to use to remove this.

I haven't yet used this tool but beeing that it is from Symantec, I would reccommend it.

Symantic tool got rid of some of it. Got rid of the dialer that prevented me from downloading the Opera Browser, which is what I just did.

Here was the solution:

Used the symantec tool; That got rid of a dialer that was perventing me from downloading Opera browser.

Downloaded Opera

Then downloaded Zone Alarm firewall.

Now I can't visit my "companionship sites".
