By the way, Constantine only converted to Christianity on his deathbed.

yeah... ok, I left out some things to avoid posting a novel... but the overall concept was there. but, thanks to all who filled in what I either left out or couldn't remember "of the cuff".... As For Constantine "converting" on his deathbed... That would also be "typically" Roman.... better to appease ALL the gods rather than be limited to just one... "playing it safe" so to speak.... Apocrypha... Apocrypha....Apocrypha.... gotta remember that stuff, I always get that befuddled with Metallica album/song titles... for the life of me I cant think of why? LMAO! so much for "history" eh? 'Bus P.S. glad to see ya agin Drk!

Neat. You'll find all kinds of swastikas around 19th Century and early 20th Century architecture as well. It shows up in floors, moldings, even as outdoor decorations. You'll also find it as designs on valves, faucets and knick knacks and book jackets. I learned some good stuff here. Thanks kids. Charlie

Yep... Swastikas became real popular in the west after they were discovered in the ruins of Troy, and then later in Hittites and ancient Iranian archeological sites. PFDAN................................... Drk^Angel

| Really old sounds correct, had to be pre-Byzantine because iconology was a big issue at that time.
