As for me ... a resounding NO!  I hate making promises I know I can't keep.

Perhaps I could resolve to give up pickled herring, which I can't even stand to look at.  *smile*

Resolutions are something I've always tried to avoid.  Roll Eyes

modified to add:
My 6 year old grandson is great at video games. So my wife got herself a PlayStation for Christmas. Her revolution for the New Year is to learn to play the games so she can "Beat the snot outa that little fart!"

Bob - I'd love to meet your wife - she sounds like my kind of Grandma!  That's too funny, but is absolutely something I'd come out with as well.  It's pretty bad when a 4 year old has to show Grandma how to do some of these things! Grin

That's a good resolution. Think I'll learn to put a CD in the darn TV and play it. Told you guys I'm totally electronically challenged. Caleb has to put the CD's in if we watch a movie.  Do these things come with instructions in English?

I've only made a couple of resolutions this year. Some carried over from last year since I didn't keep them.

1. Develope a drinking problem
2. Change my name legally to "Heywood Jablome"
3. Get rid of all my midget porn (I really did last year, but it was returned to sender. Oh woe is me).
4. Stop masturbating in public restrooms
5. To hide my male pattern baldness, I will buy a mullet wig.
6. I will realize my lifelong dream of becoming a Mime with a Mullet
7. Meet Cher and seek her eternal wisdom
8. Meet Jessica Simpson and seek her eternal wisdom
9. Study yoga, get plastic surgery and become a pop star as per previously mentioned parties. They will also bring much enlightenment to the fact I was once a snail named "Gerd"
10. I plan to write and record the longest song ever in history. It will clock in at 9 hours and 36 minutes and will change the course of music forever.
11. I will become a forensic scientist and plant evidence at every crime scene to lock up people I don't like very well. Justice will be served. Or is that vengeance?
12. Start listening to Helen Reddy, Barry Manilow, and Liza Minelli. That will also trigger a massive addiction to anti-depressants
13. Did I already mention the midget porn?
14. Since I have had long lost friends contact me lately and give me that warm fuzzy feeling of happiness, I will call people at random out of the phone book and tell them I am a long lost relative. I just want everyone to feel the love like I do.
15. Life imitates soap, so I will die this year, but then it will be discovered I was actually kidnapped by Stephano DiMiera and I will suddenly have hair again, be good looking, and pork Marlena Evans.
16. I promise to spend more time watching C-Span
17. It will be revealed that I had a secret love-child with Madonna. Or was it Martika? I can't remember.
18. Decorate my home in potatoes
19. I will start calling everyone "Captain" or "Chief"
20. Gain weight. I hate being this thin
21. Run for government office. My campaign slogan will be "Vote For Me. I Lost My Genitals In A Lawnmower Accident And Cannot Cause Sex Scandals"
22. When I am home alone and mormons or LDS come to my door, I will welcome them in by saying "Please enter, we've all been expecting you" and proceed to talk to people who aren't in the room.
 Grin

Actually, I only have two real resolutions this year:
Get my life back somehow, and I also plan to aggressively pursue adopting an animal I have always wanted: A timber wolf cub. A friend of mine back when I lived in Michigan had a wolf and it was the coolest animal on the planet. Contrary to popular belief, not all wolves are viscious animals. Woo (my buddys wolf) was on a farm of many animals and was probably mellower than the rest of them.

Happy New Year Y'all. Be safe and whatever you do
DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!!! If you are out with someone and they have been drinking and insist on driving, get them a cab. If they refuse, clock them over the head with something, knock them out, then call the cab. Driving while intoxicated may not seem like a bad idea at the time, but when you are inhebriated, telling a cop to blow you doesn't seem like a bad idea either.

Peace,
Carl

My resaloution is same as last year.Continue to let friends and family know I love them and their special to me both telling and showing I think this one has been successful.
Try not to sweat the small stuff another continuation from last year only half successful but will continue to try.
Now for about 12 years I've had these two and have yet to even begin to get them right. The first is to stop killing plants I really want a green thumb instead of this black one.it really sucks cause Billy does have a green thumbs and so does one sister and my niece.I don't even want to look at plants cause they die..And the ever elusive get organized every year I buy a few things I think will help organize my life  Roll Eyes  so far a no go.......
Try to get my life in control and count my blessings and not my losses I pray a lot for help with this....
Last but not least I want to try to be the best supporter I can for everyone on this board wether they are the CH  sufferer surviver or the supprter loving them I wanna do what I can....Oh yeah trying real hard to make Milwaulkee.....

I got lots!

1.  Quit drinking
2.  Quit smoking
3.  Exercise (not more exercise, just get off my butt and
 move)
4.  Lose 40 lbs before July 1 (gotta look good for
 Milwaukee)
5.  Take up a hobby like ...sky diving maybe.. in my spare
time after my 50 hrs per week at my business, my 50
hrs per week at my husband's business, my 50 hrs per
 week doing regular household chores.
6.  Travel, travel, travel - after I'm done with my hobby
  hours
7.  Tell my boss what I really think of him (but then I'd
have an extra 50 hrs to fill - hmmm?
8.  Tell my daughters to either s**t or get off the pot and
give me grandkids so I can use those extra 50 hrs
  on them.
9.  Tell my husband to get off his butt and take care of the
yardwork, which would free up another 50 hrs
10. Find more time!

I plan to begin immediately on Jan 1!   Grin

Sure, I do!
