I got an earlier work schedule on Christmas day.  Some cards from the female co-workers, that's super.

Two years ago I got one though.    Just performance bonuses throughout the year otherswise.

I'd better...

I'm proud to say that our team has brought three hotels and as many apartment buildings back on line after the hurricane. Two others are on the way.

We have had to coordinate the replacement of entire building systems, roofs, windows,..etc., which keeps the revenue steam going for our company.

At the company Christmas party, all of the big dicks patted me on the back for a job well done.

Show me the money a$$holes!

It starts out as a $25 gift certificate (a 'bonus' so it ends up getting taxed as such)... so it ends up being about $15.  Since you have to spend it, last year I bought a magazine and used the rest for gas money.  So I end up 'paying' tax to buy a certificate I never wanted anyway.  After you subtract the cost of fuel, I wonder if I didn't end up losing money in the deal, LOL.

What's a performance bonus?  LOL.

Thanks Jonny.

I'm preping for my year end review.

Pumped out two basements, (10 days each), repalced electrical switch-gear, sprinkler systems and special alarm systems, jocky pumps, transfer switches and generators, electrical panels, elevators, trach compactors, entire telephone systems, gas meters, domestic water systems, boilers and support tanks, chillers, roof repairs, decks around pools on hotel roofs, gutted hotel lobbys and rooms, (carpet, wall covering, furniture and fixtures) and reconstructed same, removed and ordered and installed approximately 500 refrigerators, corrdinated and had to draw millwork shop drawings for window and door replacement on historic buildings, met with flood and wind storm adjusters, coordination with public adjusters, attorneys, condo association dicks and a bunch of other shit.

Cancelled my trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, almost lost a dear friend to an elevator accident, drank alot, cried alot, I'm depressed and got a flat tire today.

I'm pooped and its not over.  Just informed that I need to get over to the American Can Project and get that one under way.

Sorry to Whine.  I want a bonus!

Well last year My husband won a $500 travel certificate good at a local travel agency good toward a guided travel vacation at his company Christmas party.  Since we didn't want to go anywhere on a guided tour (like overseas etc) we cashed it in.  They also have a professional photographer there to take a professional picture of you and your partner or just you for a free 8 X 10.  Otherwise no bonus.

This year doubt we will be so lucky.  We will probably just be blessed with the photo.  Oh my husbands boss is sending him (all expenses paid) to Dallas the three days before DAVCON 06.  There he gets to participate in a company training program.  Warm Dallas in the middle of freezing Jan.  I am jellous.

Now, my husband was telling me about a small local computer company that the boss paid all expenses to get ALL employees and their significant other to Vegas for a week at the beginning of the year. NICE.

Me, I got a raise.

Last year we all got $75 bucks...no office party

This year the Big Guy is throwing an office party so I doubt there will be any bucks on it.

My first year there there was a party AND $125 bucks bonus.

I say forget the party and cash me back 1% of the commissions I brought in for the man over the last year..

Are you kidding? I work for the Library.

Five years now with no bonus and really sucky pay. Oh... We did get a 3% increase in our pay. That almost keeps me even with the 6% increase in the actual cost of living.

Christmas party????? Yeah...Right.....They have one but it's for employees only. No spouses invited. I don't go to parties without my wife.

Got a surprise "Holiday Bonus" of $500
Spent it on my wifes present and a couple of tickets to a Yankee game in August. I tried to get Bosox tickets, but I only got in 10 seconds after the tickets went on sale and they were sold out already.

My bonus is extra hugs  [smiley=hug.gif] and kisses  :-*  from my daughters April and Beth thats the best Christmas bonus.............

disabilty this year so no $$ bonus. But 8 years ago Billy had gotten a temperary job while he was laid off I worked at a mom and pop store they owned 3 local convenient marts .I was pregnant with Beth and it was Aprils first x-mas so money was tight. The owners took us to old country buffet. They handed us each a envelope with a crisp $10. bill they then told us our bonus was each $9.25 .We each had to give them back 75cents !!!
oh well it's the thought that counts. To explain how they came up with that at the end of the change any money left in the take a penny /leave a penny jar next to the register went into a jar all year and the amount was split between all the stores. So the bonus really came from the customers and they wouldn't pay the extra 75 cents each. Then again she would look over your shoulder and yell at you if you put too much meat or mayo on a sub you had to explain they ordered extra mayo.the pizza we sold in slices had to have just the right amount of pepperoni or you were in deep doo doo.Oh well they sold the store and the new owner seems better.I got fired by them because I left early a couple days when April had chicken pox.One and only time i've ever been fired but I cried and cried.oh well I'm done complaining may your bonuses be  painfree life.

I work for myself, so any bonus that I would give to myself would be taxed at a rate of somewhere near 50%!

I didn't know Uncle Sam was on my payroll. I do all the work and he gets half!  Whats wrong with this picture?

seeya,

Yeps. I get a corporate bonus (although they call it a "gift" not a  bonus) and the NM office also gives a Christmas bonus. And the raises tend to be a little more generous this time of the year.

I'm with jimmers up there. hell I never even get a paycheck.
but I do, being unincorporated get all my expenses covered and I do control the money and might take a bonus to start christmas shopping on friday. I just have to decide if I'm worth it or not.
I quess if employees got one I should too. I will determine my bonus based on what I spend.

If you don't want the $15, I'll take it. That would buy a bottle of wine, crackers and cheese for me, da spousal unit, and the cat.

Yeah, I get a bonus and I'm thankful for every penny of it. It's FREE money and you get it b/c the company did well and you exist on the payroll at the time they decided to share some of the money. The same is true about Christmas parties...you're on the payroll so you get to go for FREE!

If ya really want to know about my *BIG* Christmas bonus this year, e-mail me and I'll tell you about my step mother and the $6 million law suit she filed against me and my two sisters over my father's estate.

I'm off the soap box...
