I hate that a vet won't give you a break on the tests.

He is supposed to have a special liking for dogs, I assume. http://www.clusterheadaches.com/public_html/yabbimages/smileys/hug.gif

She sounds like a fighter.  Stay close when you can and encourage her to fight.  Had 6 more good months with our Buster (Bupper) when he was fighting fast growing (terminal) cancer.  They originally told us he had a day or two.

Molly seems to have a good shot of pulling through, give her some encouragement.

Best Wishes

Um........I 'think' she mite be goin thru the dieing processif that sick but HOPEFULLY I AM WRONG......I just went thru this with my elderly cat. Depending on how long she will continue to hang on I can warn you this.......it is not a good thing to witness IF IT GOES TOO FAR .......my cat went longer then we ever imagined and it killed me inside but I knew he wanted to be in his basket with the other cats that huddled all around him till 'the last day'.....dude it was not a good thing and I feel guilty I let him go so long THINKING as bad as he was he'd die in his sleep comfortable where he wanted to be and not go for a cold ride in a truck alive scared and come home in a box. I couldn't do it. Sum vets WILL now come to your house if you think the time has come verses that 'haul' I have a real problem with takeing them in where they do NOT want to be. I'm haunted by it.......but we jus didn't think he'd hang on. He got so think within a week he was nothing......he became dead alive. Don't let it go that far if you think the end is comeing.......trust me......it'll leave a mark in yer head. My cat would of died bein hauled away....he was HOME here and I rode it out with him keepin him cozy and warm with beds in front of the heaters and all the other cats stayed with him. Good luck to ya with this and if there is any miracles it can go quick or recover fully I wish you one or the other. I've been there many a time but this last episode was the worst similar to your dog. (his was more or less kidney failure) Don't mean to be a bummer here.....wishin you the best in what ever happens. Bad time of year for this.......I have the scars inside to prove it Pam  :'( :'( :'(

My cat came and went also......even started to gain some weight and was always at the food bowl and ate chicken treats he loved but then he'd go downhill fast......fineally he got pnemonia I got him thru then he got bit better then DOWNHILL and he stayed on a downhill trend after that which lasted a good month. The last few weeks were aweful......I jus couldn't make THAT dicision.

I feel for you and Molly.  I lost my dog (best friend) who had been with me for 13 years earlier this year.  She had been sick for a while and it is not an easy thing to go through ...  :'(

I wish you both comfort and peace in whatever the outcome is; however, I'm with Leesa and the prayer wagon.

It's good to hear that there may be some improvement.

Mosts dogs are prone to fiberous tumors and growths so the lump on her neck may not be a problem.  It's a good idea to have it checked out.

I hope it's nothing and hope you see continued improvement.

Steve, can you get your fingers around the lump, like in behind it?  Our Barly's got one on his neck, too, but it's moveable and I can get my fingers around it.  It doesn't seem to bother him.

He had one earlier this year on his back leg that started out this way too but we ended up having it removed because it became infected.  It stayed dormant though for a few months and didn't cause him any grief.  It's just scary to see lumps on our babies though.  Keep an eye on it, for sure.  Dogs really are prone to these cysts and our vet told us that they are most often little to worry about.

Glad to hear Molly's hanging in.  If she's eating, playing and pooping, these are all good things.  :)

Prayers still going up for her.  I'm sure Don's Millie is up there watching out for her, too - Millie watched over Barly when he had his surgery and she is our resident Cluster Dog Angel.  She makes sure our animal children are well taken care of.

YAAAY! So glad to hear she is ok.  Those furry babies of ours are so precious (though my Charlotte is making me a little nutso right now)

Please keep with the updates- we're all pulling for her.
Give her a big ol scratch behind the ears from me too :)

Jen
