NO ONE LIKES MY SONG~~~ HEHEHE I RENAMED THE TITLE.....

You were all thinking I was talking about Christmas weren't you???? Wellllllllllllllllll...

I am posting a song I wrote..... You sing it to the tune of jingle bells you know "Dashing through the snow..."

2nd anual posting of:

"The 26th"

Oh I can hardly wait,
til December 26th,
I'll cross my fingers, say a prayer,
That it will come real quick.
Cuz its my favorite day
When we can finally sigh
Turn out the lights, throw out the tree
Kiss the holiday goodbye!
chorus:
Oh the 26th, the 26th its my favorite day
Don't want to see no red and green oh Santa go away Hey...
The 26th, the 26th, won't you come real soon.
Take my Christmas blues away, and take me straight to June!

 love ya Ree-ree

LOL Ree!

I advise however, "tradition" dictates that once a tree is up and decorated it is considered "bad luck" to take it down until after the new year... never knew why aside from the obvious.  [smiley=huh.gif]
Course I never did unnerstand the whole wedding cake under the pillow thing either... anyone?!  [smiley=huh.gif]

25th:

1 year old thinks a glass of sweet cider would be funny in uncles lap.

Bore uncle to death with a corny movie, make him fall asleep.

2 nieces, 1 nephew, beat him to death with pillows.

Uncle jumps up, scares cat, cat jumps in tree.

Uncle flees for his life, gets stopped for speeding.

26th:

Recouperate, plan for next year.

Well said Ree.

I'm pleased to say that finally this year I managed to escape Christmas day festivities.  Spent the day at home with my son and partner.   Lounged around, watched the lad open his many many many presents!!  played, ate grilled cheese on toast for lunch  ;;D then around 2.30pm decided to get out of our pj's ;;D and have showers     BLISS

Spent Boxing day doing the family thing but t'was fairly relaxed as every one was taking it easy.

So glad it's all over for another year.

Kate

Amen to that Bob!!!!  Christmas Day with 3 of them and Boxing Day with 5 of them!  Yikes, my hair has turned another shade of gray!!!!!

Ramon - about that Christmas tree takedown - I was always told that if you don't have the tree down before midnight on New Year's Eve, then it must stay up until January 6th (Little Christmas) or you'll have bad luck for the whole year!  My tree is on its way out the door today!!!!

Ree - love the song - it expresses my feeings perfectly.

Hope you all have a nice relaxing day today.

Carol

...and if you keep it up till February your chances of bad luck for the whole next year continues to increase with each dry needle that falls and how close a candle might be to the withering tree....  :-X
