Heart attack and CH (copy)

I posted this in the general area, and Svenn and I thought that maybe it would be better here.  Here is a copy of the post from the general area:

While here in Oslo, at Svenn's klasehodepine symposium (see, I even learned some Norwegian! That means Cluster headache) I talked with one of the doctors about those of us with heart trouble, and our use of imitrex, or any triptans.  I will do a full report, later, when I can get more of the information translated, but I have a question to ask.

Question 1:
How many of you have a heart problem, or have had one or more heart attacks?

Question 2: What does your doctor say about you taking triptans?

For myself, as you know, I have had quite a few heart attacks, and my doctor will not let me take triptans.

What does yours say?

And, as an add-on, all of you other clusterheads, how many full imitrex shots does your doctor say you can take in a 24 hour period?  (Not how many do you take, how many does your doctor say you can take.)

1. I haven't had heart trouble.
2. He does not like me taking triptans at this point, as I'm also taking Celebrex after my back surgery in April, and both are bad for the heart. He tells me to abort with O2, and only use trex as a last resort.

Given the above, he tells me not to use more than 1 dose of trex in a 24 hour period.

I've had supraventricular tachycardia since age 13. Never did Imitrex but Maxalt sublingual. Never had a heart attack.
