Huh don't know but I have that too.  Sometimes works sometimes doesn't.  Don't give up tho cos it might work next time.  Was it a particularly bad hit?  Did you get to it too late? ???

Sorry I'm not much help.

I have been using O2 for a couple of years now and, for myself, have learned a lot about its use. I usually can tell when a CH is starting if it is one that will respond to O2 or not. Sometimes, if over tired especially, I will become aware that the O2 isn't working when I had thought it would. This I usually know within 10 minutes. If O2 is going to work it does, and if it isn't going to it clearly doesn't; going longer than 10 or 15 minutes with it for me is pointless. Zomig nasal spray then comes to the rescue and relief comes then within 7 to 12 minutes depending how far up the Kip scale I have been taken.

Couldn't agree with e-double more.

Clusterheads as a primary treatment and O2 to mop up the rest.  Last year over 50 separate headaches in the cluster - this year 4.

I have found that when the o2 is not working all I need to do is hold my breath for as long as I can.  Then when I am about ready to burst start using the o2 again.  I think this must be the neurologic equivilent of throwing the circuit breaker.  It may take a couple of times to work.  If it doesn't work you will faint!

When the o2 isn't working I figure I am screwed.  I don't have a successful backup.  Maybe I shoiuld get Imatrex or start smoking Kudzu.  The herb mon, the herb.

Get a Clustermasx, hook up a Big bag, and use a real high flow regulator for starters.

A comment and a question! Doe anyone else use a demand regulator instead of the flow regulators? I modified an old paramedic button push positive pressure type regulator. I removed the mask and basically put my mouth over the port. That way I suck in the pure 0-2. Using this sytem on an e-tank I get 15 minutes worth, and usually burn less then 300 lbs. Gives me 8 attacks per tank. My insurance doesn't cover my oxygen so it saves me a few bucks.

I have taken it straight from the tank before as well in the past.

Try contacting your Insurance company again.  My insurance company didn't cover it last year but they do now.  They may need a letter from your doctor explaining your diagnosis of cluster headaches and the need for O2 but mine didn't even need that.  Hopefully all insurance companies will start covering O2 for CH.

Now, can we get them to cover appropriate amounts of Tripans too!

Nothing but flow regulators in this neighborhood, but if you'd mail me your on-demand regulator (short term loan) I'd love to take it for a test drive. When you don't need it, of course.
