Title: What happens during the day
Post by Tom_Thumb on Jan 18th, 2005, 4:03pm
I have read many comments about Melatonin taking it at night to stop the hit while sleeping . But I WORK ALL DAY can stopping the hits at night or while you sleep cause more hits during the day ? I took the Melatonin many years back but it made me very tried and dizzy. I just can not take it if i am going to get slam at work .

Ditto to Vig.

Try it - lower doses at first (3mg/night to start).  Most clusterheads suffer from low Seratonin levels.  Melatonin has a tendency to help that and reduce the intensity of CH when taken over time.  Maybe low doses won't affect your ability to function during the day.

We're all different, but when I'm in cycle, I take 9mg/night with really great results and no morning hangover.  But that's just me....

I have been taking the melatonin 9mg for almost a week and found that I can sleep more before I get hit - before melatonin I would get my 1st hit about 2am and now the hit will come around 5am.  It has not stopped the hits but at least I am getting more sleep.  I have not gotten hit during the day because of the melatonin but I usually never did.  I do feel tired during the day but it's not terrible.  I would try it at a low dose as others have suggested and see how it works.  Good Luck! We just started taking Melatonin as well.

I really wish I had bought it sooner. It has brought great results for my husband.

Here's hoping you get great results soon too.

I have had great results with melatonin.  To avoid that hangover I would suggest getting in the habit of going to bed fairly early and on a regular schedule.

Large coffee cures the melatonin hangover.
