Global Cluster Headache Database
Some Available Cluster Headache Statistics and Surveys

(Please see also: http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=chspecific;action=display;num=1126505637 )

Non scientific cluster headache surveys:

Be warned:  This page is spammed with popups. Some statistic figures with reference to the Department of Health, England. Have to find the original data source. – Anybody?

O.U.C.H surveys: (2002 – ongoing)

http://www.clusterheadaches.org/survey/survey.htm

The “famous” surveys from DJ at clusterheadaches.com:

General cluster survey - 12026 inputs since 1999:
http://www.clusterheadaches.com/survey/index.html

Survey about medication and helpers – 3575 inputs since 2000:
http://www.clusterheadaches.com/meds/index.html

(DJ, the counters haven’t moved since July this year, why?)

And last, but definitely not least:

Please have a look at these surveys, even if you may object to considering alternative treatments. Actually, the above surveys do not really have to do much with alternative treatments.

What should be added to such an approach is:

-      Data entry only by CH patients certified by doctors (“survey prescription”)
-      Content + questions to be defined by scientific medical, survey, statistic experts and CH support groups  (IHS working group)  etc. - see Global Cluster Database proposal

The IHS (working group) should be in charge of such a global database – on the national basis the database should be controlled by the National Headache Societies and National Government Institutions – supported by the Cluster Headache Support groups. If the IHS working group should decide to use the cluster buster’s database or a similar approach: Do not worry about their copyright notice – I will pay for the required license fees.

There is also an existing internet database ‘CHATS’ which is currently offline.

Pain free times!

Friedrich
