Sorry you are in pain!

Take the cluster quiz and see what comes about.

You also might want to check out.....OUCH UK: Organization for Understanding Cluster Headache.

It is extremely important to get a proper diagnosis so that you may recieve appropriate treatment.

Stick around and tell us a little more about yourself.

I sure hope it is not what you have yet if you do, you are most certainly in the right place.

Research, research, research!!!

Hi Martin.

Very important to see a neuro to get a proper diagnosis.

Do what E suggested and hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome Martin.

Sorry you are in pain.  Please read everything you can on this site and take the cluster quiz  at the left.  Ditto - get to a neuro or specialist and get a diagnosis.  Might be CH, might not be, but whatever it is, you've got to find out so you can get proper treatment.

Let us know how it turns out.

Sandy

Hi Martin,
Its nice to meet you but I,m sorry its because you are in pain. I have to say what you are describing doesn't sound much like CH but I'm no doctor!
You need to have an MRI to rule out anything else going on in your noggin (although seeing as how you are a Geordie there won't be will there Waay Aay?!! ;) :P)
You might want to give the helpine at OUCH UK a ring, the number is 0161 2721702. They can help with advice etc. Its an answerphone so leave your name and number and someone will call you back.
I would definitely be making a doctors appt today to tell him you want a referral to a headache specialist neurologist and an MRI (the neuro will ask for an MRI anyway). Specify a HA specialist as neurology is a huge area and you don't want to end up with a doc who knows nothing about HA's.. thats not going to do you any good.
I'm sorry I couldn't be more help, I'm reluctant to suggest any meds until you know what you are dealing with as some of them will do more harm than good if taken for the wrong thing.
Let us know how you are getting on okay?
Regards
Helen
