Title: chronic cluster fear
Post by clusterkat on Nov 25th, 2005, 4:13pm
hay everybody,
*flashes a new wife smile*
happy to report only one attack during our honeymoon,
(clam chowder) shell fish-another trigger.
i have a new fear now.
my ch cycles have broken,
episodes less intense,
just a few ghost pains now.
im on no preventive meds,
just the ole stand by migraine meds for back up.
its like they have dissappeared,
almost a month under my belt pain free.
but i feel the beast still looms over me,
when i feel a slight twinge,
then panic reminds me.
*liten up girl*
will the chronic cycles return?
just as they left?
is anyone ever totally cured?
(((southern married-girl hugs to the group)))

Right on CK. Careful stress is a trigger ;)
Anticipation of the next episode is so expected. Almost as soon as the episode is apparently gone, one is looking for that twinge indication of a shadow. I use alcohol as a test, since it is always an immediate trigger. I have in the past said, I will find out if it is over, and drink a beer. You have to be ready to accept the consequences though. If I have consumed more than half and it has been 15 minutes with no headache or shadow. YEA. Then the anticipation sets in. Chronic is I think is consecutive CH for 11.5 months out of the year. I could be wrong but it is a ridiculous amount of time. No answer to your question though. The beast is as the beast does.
Hope for PF days for ya.

Kat, congratulations again!

Wonderful that you only got one hit during your honeymoon ;;D

It might have been the salt content, overdosed on salt in the chowder, that triggered a hit.

Fear is always a factor but never let is ruin your life.

Enjoy your relative PF days and enjoy your new marraige!

Life and the beast happens but we will and can survive.

Hugs Jas ;)
