Title: Trying to help my husband and also to OUCH
Post by lars2005 on Sep 17th, 2005, 6:51am
well, trying to figure out how to help him. he's not the one with CH , it's me. the problem is, we are in a country where the only one speaking the language it's me, so in case of an emergency or for instance to try to get medecine, I'm the only one who's able to do explain what is it . of course if i'm under a big (in pain "level") attack I'm unable to talk , like happened last time.

I've already teached him some pressure points that he can press on my head that gives me some relief, also using ice but i'm thinking on something more complete, like what he needs to say on ER for example (the system here is that one goes to the hospital and it's seen first by a physician for triage, questions are asked,  if necessary the proper exams are made and only then comes a specialist. this of course being covered by insurance). so where is the problem ? the language. If by any chance I need to go to ER, they only speak german, so I was thinking something like drawings to explain the problem. Is there something of the sort outhere ?

My doctor here says that  in Germany the CH is already recognised as being quite different and seriour from a simple headache, but is that so ? is there an OUCH in Cermany ?

thanks you in advance.

Go to the section, "cluster headache specific", and you will find a current message on German cluster headache sites.

You might try writing a good description of an attack which can given to the doctor or translated for him.

Thank you, already am in touch with someone from there.

(as for the other thread Bob Johnson sent me to, I don't know if he was joking or serious because I only saw an exchange of insults there. not much help.)

I really don't know why don't you guys understand that for someone new the 1st two pages are "confusing" to say the leat. one guy comes up to announce a boar, other says he's a troll whatever that is, and this and tha.

ueli place the link above as well.

I see you in Germany, so maybe you can answer me this one:

we got here 4 months agor and only now are we handling the paperwork, already got the social papaerwork (residence permit, work contract, etc), but now we have to deal with the health insurance and one thing I don't know if I should mention or not is CH and panic attacks (i mean, mentionning can it bring any problem as in denial in giving the insurance ? it will be a private healinsurance, not the state krakenkasse)
