Hi Everyone,
I know that probably no one noticed but I haven't been around for awhile. I do however have a good reason. I have been in the hospital.
The Tuesday before Christmas I was rushed to the hospital with a full blown case of a blood infection. The Dr's say that if I had waited 2-3 more hours I would not be around today.
On the better side I thought that my cycle was over. Only been dealing with this one since August. Thought was the operative word. After two days I was transferred out of ICU to a regular room.
Within a couple of hours the monster paid me a visit. Thank God I had the forsight to have a O2 mask brought to my room. I plugged it in and got the relief that was needed. Next morning when the Dr. came in I asked him to have Imitrex on the floor and he agreed. That was the easy part of it. Out of 5 more days in the hospital only 1 nurse knew of imitrex and what it was for. The rest of them I had to teach about the whole scene. At least the next poor guy who goes there won't have it as bad.
I have been home now a couple of days and I am still dealing with the a**hole. O well, the one thing that
I learned (retaught myself) is that ,even though it feels catastrophic, life will go on and is now more valuable than ever.
Sorry for the steam vent but I feel better now that I got to blow off some steam.

Good to see you back, Bill, and glad to hear that you're doing better, healthwise.

Only one nurse knew what Imitrex was?
For cripes sake...GSK has commercials for it for Meegraines 3 or 4 times a day. ::)

Bill, how does one get a blood infection?

Glad you're o.k. though, and back here where you belong. ;)
