Cousion having nosebleeds = CH?

Okay everyone over the past year my brother turned my sister has been complaining of migrains, after talking I believe it is CH and have recommended she/he talk to a neuro not just the doctor.

Now my cousion who is only 13 has been having massive nosebleeds.  About an hour before she has a massive migraine, which I did not know about today.  I will see her latter today and will talk to her about CH.

I was diagnoised in 2004, so I know what the demon is like for me and the general signs.  But can nosebleeds on a massive scale be a sign??  Should she see a neruo?  Has anyone else had this problem??

Massive nosebleed is likely to be caused by sinus problems, swollen sinus blood vessels inside the nose which broke through the thin membrane lining the inside nostril.

Swollen blood vessels in the sinus can cause increased pressure inside the head -> headache but unless it involves the trigeminal nerves and the autonomic nervous system ( which it almost never does ) then it wouldnt be causing CH like headaches. Often these pressure headaches would be gone once the nose bleeds.

Your sister should be seeing first a GP, get a head scan to check the sinus then see a ENT ( ear nose throat specialist ) before seeing a neurologist.

I havent heard of nose bleeds causing CH. My husband who has pretty bad CH never had a nose bleed. Does your sister have CH symptoms such as droopy eye, constricting pupil, sweaty eyebrows, pain drilling on one side of head and severe pain causing agitation and inability to lay down?

Sinus issues are probably #1 suspect, but it could possibly be CH or something else, definitely worth getting checked out.

I don't think nosebleeds cause CH, but for me, CH can sometimes cause nosebleeds - increase in blood pressure, inflammation around the affected side.  CH leads to massive histamine release.

Migraines are linked to increased stroke risk and other circulatory issues - not sure if that carries over to nosebleed.
