Sure getting a lot of these little guys in the backyard this winter. Sometimes a couple of hundred at a time.

They like cracked corn.

Just opened my back door to let the dogs outside and was surprised to see a beautiful red fox staring back at me.

Spiced Grilled Quail

8 quail, (about 2 pounds in all)
2 teaspoons salt, coarse (kosher or sea)
2 teaspoons cumin seeds
2 teaspoons coriander seeds
2 teaspoons peppercorns, whole, black
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
