Title: Moving to NY/NJ
Post by marlinsfan on Dec 26th, 2007, 1:25pm
I hope everyone is having a great holiday and enjoying every PF moment we get!

I am being relocated to the North East from Sunny and still very WARM south florida! I'll be working in Downtown NY and living somewhere in NJ, hoping to be about 1 hour away from the office. Not sure the town yet.

Can anyone recommend a CH savvy neuro in either area, as well as an O2 supplier?

Thanks much!
Jose

Red Bank, NJ is about a 45 train ride from the city a great little city. It's close the shore. My neuro is like the next town  or two up from there. Her name is Dr. Khakoo so far she has been great. I can not recall now who gets me my O2 but they are also very professional.

Wow...I live in New Joisey.  You'll probably be going over the George Washington Bridge or the Tappanzee bridge to work or will you be doing the Amtrak Train?

Either way, it would be nice to have a NJ/NY meet/greet once settled.

I have a great Neuro, but he's where I used to live in Upstate, NY.   :-/

I guess you'll have to trade in your tank tops and flip flops for snow shovels and winter coats!  ;;D

Good luck with the move.

I was going to make the same suggestion. I lived in the town next to Red Bank in High School and watched people hop on the trains every morning to go to work in NYC. The school system is good and it's a quiet coastal community. Red Bank, Little Silver, FairHaven Rumson are all some of the towns. My daughter goes to Jefferson in Philadelphia which I think is about an hour away. It's one of the top nuerology hospitals. There is also a train station down the st. from the hospital.

Good luck!

Charlotte

First of all you have to lose the Marlin's Fan mantra. Now you can be a Mets Fan, as Yankee fans are the anti-Christs. Then you have to realize that you are moving to God's Country........... You will always be welcome and I am looking forward to bringing you to a Mets Game !!!!

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions on the towns, neuros, and fan loyalty. I'll still be a Marlins fan. I grew up in Boston, so I could NEVER root for the yankees! I'll have to go to some Mets games if I want to watch any baseball....
Jimmers: don't worry, I don't watch too much football. With an italian dad, we watched lots of soccer, so I still watch that when I can.

I look forward to having a meet & greet sometime soon.
Happy new year to all.
Jose
