Shadows while not in cycle

Anybody get them? I don't know when a "normal" start time for my cycles are. They've always started in December, but last year it started in April. This past december I got nothing, then today I had a good Kip 2 shadow which I killed with 2 cokes, 1 starbucks espresso ina can and 2 excedrins. I've got a Kip 1 shadown now.
Is this the start of a cycle? Or just a postcard from the beast?

Yeah, I do. But considering my cycle just ended in January, I don't worry about it too much.
As for it being the start of a cycle, your guess is as good as mine. I was supposed to get mine this Sept., but it came this past December instead. Seems there's lots of cycle weirdness going around. 
Hope it stays away!

I got shadows 2 weeks after my cycle.
They lasted for 2 weeks 2 times a day(kip3/4?)and they didn't take longer than a hour.
One time I took 2 asprines 500mg because I thought I would get a CH hit(I know asprine doesn't help but I tried it anyway)
The shadows are gone now,I think maybe In this case It has got to do something with your/my body healing, after having a 4 month cluster cycle nobody can tell me that even if there's no long term damage from CH that you don't need to recover after having CH cluster attacks four months in a row
One thing though..I will get shadow like feelings if I drink a few beers after a hard days work so I don't drink right after work anymore and if I do in special occasions I just don't overdo myself.

Seems the beast gets lonely and decides to pay me unscheduled visits too. Mostly this comes in the form of shadows or very low level hits.
I can usually trace these visits back to something I ate or drank or, more typically, a disruption in my sleep cycle. Lack of sleep will wake him quicker than anything else.
Try not to read too much into it.

My husband is out of cycle too but he got heavy shadowing twice. Once when he got very hot mowing the lawn and once after some heavy work lifting boxes. Both times he recognised the symptoms so he stopped working, chugged down a Red bull and an Imigran nasal spray and the shadow went.
I guess its just the beast reminding him that the condition is lifelong and can flare up anytime.

I didn't used to (for almost 20 years of being episodic) but since my last cycle I do.
I get shadows a lot now out of cycle. For this reason I have stayed on 6 mg melatonin per night (I find when I go off it the shadows reemerge). I also
try to take brisk walks regularly (this seems to help me sleep better and seems to help the shadows when they rev up which they haven't been lately). It doesn't necessarily mean you are going back into cycle--a few months ago I even had shadows keeping me up until like 3:30 in the morning but never went back into cycle (I did go back on the melatonin). Only thing I can recommend is any kind of aerobic activity--it might help.
